MORE TO OKLAHOMA CITY THAN HORSE FARMS

This weekend, we drove down to The Paseo Arts District in Oklahoma City. Over the Memorial Day weekend, they will have a huge arts festival down there. They are in the process of restoring this district. The Paseo is home to 17 galleries and more than 60 artist. It also has lots of neat restaurants, shops, and coffee houses. Just an unusual kind of area. So, see there is more to Oklahoma City than horse farms.

One of the shops.

This church, located in The Paseo Arts District was built in 1842 in Blackville, New Brunswick, Canada. When the church became in disrepair, the building was dismantled. A man read about it on the Internet and had it shipped on flatbeds to Oklahoma City. The pieces were reassembled in 7 months. Only the bell tower did not survive and had to be replaced. I thought this was kind of an interesting history.
