A COMES A VISITING

Yep, guess who is visiting Mo mo and Pap pa. We met K and A half way today. Hubby, J, K, A and I met in Van Buren, Ar. We went to Chili's to eat and then J went back to Arkansas and K and A came with us to Oklahoma. K decided she didn't want to fly this time. A knew for sure who we were and I think she also remembers our house. She just made her self at home. But, she has already ran into the toy box twice and dropped a heavy candlestick on her toe. She came and showed pap pa and me that her toe hurt, but then went right back to getting into things.
Eating at Chili's. K ordered her a kids meal and she ate it all and then stole some fries from the other plates. She was a hungry girl.

When we got to our house, K took her up to the bonus room. She grabbed a baby doll and started climbing in the chair.

Then she climbed onto the table.

This ball is bigger than she is.Well, I think we are going shopping tomorrow.

GUESS WHO HAS A TOOTH?

Karlie already has a tooth. That just seems really early. M says she is already reaching for things. I thought this was a cute picture, even though she looks a little sad.

A COMFORT FOOD

I am sure that everyone has a food that is their comfort food. Well, mine is hot chocolate. Starbucks is my favorite. When we lived in Maumelle, Ar. there was a Starbucks less than five minutes from our house. Where we live now, there is not one close and that is probably a good thing.

T had given me a box of Starbucks hot chocolate packets for Christmas, but they are now all gone. The packets were not as good as the real thing from Starbucks, but they were good and low in weight-watcher points, if you are counting your points. She e-mailed me the other day and said that a survey said that hot chocolate is one of the top five foods that is good for your heart. I replied, that is good because I am obviously addicted it. So, if it is my comfort food, then I must need a lot of comforting.

PUMP JACK

When we were looking at houses in Oklahoma, we found at least two that we really liked and probably would have made an offer on them, except that they had pump jacks beside them. When we would tell people that, they would ask "what is a pump jack"? Well, this is a pump jack. We knew people, from the first time we lived here, who had lived close to pump jacks. They said they were noisy when they are pumping(they are not always pumping) and they also smell when they are pumping. They actually are putting off poisonous gas when they are pumping.

They are everywhere in and around Oklahoma City. They put them really close to houses as you can see in this picture.

HUBBY CELEBRATES 59TH BIRTHDAY

Today is hubby's birthday, so he got to choose where to go eat. His favorite is barbecue, so we went to a barbecue restaurant with an interesting history. The barbecue at this restaurant is probably the best in OKC, but I ate chicken. Back to the history of the building, that houses this restaurant. Back in the late 20's and 30's it was occupied by a prohibition-era dance hall, gambling place and bordello. It was a popular hangout for outlaw Pretty Boy Floyd, who was from Oklahoma. The little separate rooms have trap doors and there is a tunnel underneath them that runs to an abandoned house across the street. It is said that when the FBI would show up, the gangsters would go through the trap door, through the tunnel and escape. It is also said to be haunted. Voices can be heard from what was the bordello section late at night.

We went yesterday at about 3:30 and it wasn't crowded. In fact us and another family were the only ones there. So we got to sit in one of the little rooms all by our self. We didn't see the trap door because it was covered by a rug. Also just so you know, we didn't see or hear any ghost while we were there.

The building.

Hubby's plate of ribs, sausage and brisket.

My chicken plate. I had enough left over to eat tonight. That bread in the background is the best bread ever. We kept saying how much we knew the kids would love the bread.

Hubby ate every thing on his plate. We were going to get a piece of cake since it was hubby's birthday but we just couldn't hold any thing else. It is a little pricey for barbecue but probably because the portions are so large.

A'S VALENTINE DAY

Looks like A did pretty good for Valentine's Day. The little stinker will not leave a bow in her hair. It is such a cute bow too and she looks so cute in it.

A VALENTINE PARTY

M hosted the Valentine party this year for the friends kids.

C ready for the fun.

Karlie looks cute in her little Valentine outfit.

They decorated cookies.

The food looks good.
I wonder how many tries it took to get this picture.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!!!!!!

I received this Valentine card from my 4 1/2 year old grandson. Thank you Carter. Momo loves it.

I requested this year, a floor plant instead of roses, to replace the ficus that we gave K when we moved. This is what I got. I love it.
We will be going out to eat tomorrow instead of today. We celebrate Valentines Day and hubby's birthday which is Tuesday.

"OH NO" SNOW AGAIN

Yep, that's right. I woke up this morning looked outside and it was snowing again. I had just told T last night, that I have had enough snow for this year. The temperature is staying above freezing, so it is not sticking on the streets. Hopefully, it won't stick on the streets and it will melt by tomorrow.

We watched the super bowl game last night while eating pizza that we picked up at Papa Murphy's, first time to ever eat a pizza from there. It was very good. It was just hubby and I. Our team didn't win. We were both for the Colt's. I was for them because I am always for the team a Manning is playing on. I have posted before that I grew up in the same small town in Northeast Mississippi where Archie's Grandmother lived. I went to college with Archie's cousin. She was a really sweet person.
