UNPACKING

The movers were at the house bright and early to start unloading us yesterday. They were completely finished by three-thirty. Then the fun began trying to get get everything unpacked. We didn't get that many boxes unpacked yesterday, but we made a big dent in them today.

K took the boxes and put around A to keep her from crawling out the door while the movers were moving in our things.

PACKED

This is what my begonias looked like on Sunday, before we had to dump them out. The moving company won't move dirt.

We are packed and they start loading tomorrow. M will probably head on to Oklahoma on Friday. I will get to spend the weekend with A and then K, A and I will head on to Oklahoma on Sunday. K and A are going to help us get unpacked.

M and I will spend Thursday night with K and J and we close on the house on Friday.

Boxes everywhere. The buyers are coming to do a final walk through tonight. They may have trouble getting through.

While they finished packing us today M and I grabbed a sandwich and went to the lake to eat it. Probably the last time that we see the lake. When we first moved here this lady from the retirement home would pull her dog in a little red wagon. I always wanted to get a picture of her doing it but never did. But now she has two dogs and she walks them while riding in her wheelchair. I guess she is not able to walk anymore. She was walking them through the park today. I always worry what will happen to them after she dies because I am sure she spoils them rotten.

"THE LITTLE TOOT"

Mommy, this is what I think of those bows you put in my hair.lol Btw, I love the bows. I love bows and hats on little girls, but apparently A doesn't feel the same way as her momo.

A thinks it is so funny that she got the bow off.

IN MEMORY OF A GREAT LADY

C's great grandmother on his dad's side passed away on Tuesday. She was 88. C was very close to her. He saw her often. M and T have told him, but they don't think he understands.

She was a very special lady. She was a professor of a college in a small northwestern town in Missouri for many years. Our whole family thought a lot of her. I feel honored to have known her.

When M and T started dating in college, she began writing letters to our family. We didn't meet her until M and T married five years later. But, she never met a stranger. When my mother moved in with me, she wrote a letter to mother. Mother was so excited to get it and said she would write her back. I told mother that she had been a college professor. Mother then said that with her little education, she would not be able to talk to someone that had been a professor. I told mother that she was not the kind of person to judge anyone and she could get on any ones level.

Mother and her never met, but they became best friends through their writing. They wrote to each other often. She even called mother one Christmas Eve, after mother had gone into a nursing home. Mother could not hear, so she wasn't able to talk to her, but it made mother's Christmas that year, when the nurse told her that she called to wish her a Merry Christmas. She continued to write to mother, even after she got sick and stopped writing to most everyone else.

She will be dearly missed.

A's NEW CAR SEAT

K and A came over to visit on Friday. We went out to eat and A fell asleep on the way home in her new car seat. She likes this car seat so much better than her old one. She will probably like it a lot better after she gets big enough that it can be turned around and she can see Mommy.

Her new favorite thing to do at Momo's is to get in to the magazine rack that I have beside the sofa.

This is what she does to Momo's magazines.

OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY

Hubby and T will be going to the Oklahoma State football game again this Saturday. They have season tickets this year. We thought we would already be back in Oklahoma by now. Here are some pictures of the game they attended last week against the University of Georgia. OSU won!!

Hubby graduated from Mississippi State University, but if MSU and OSU are playing, he will be rooting for OSU. T graduated from OSU but had not been back to Stillwater in over six years. There had definitely been a lot of changes in those six years.

The stadium is one big change thanks to a million dollar donation from a generous donar. Over 50,000 attended the game last Saturday. T couldn't believe all the tailgating now. She said no one did that or maybe just a few did when she attended OSU in the mid nineties.

C'S FIRST DAY OF PRE-SCHOOL

Here are some pictures from yesterday of C's first day of pre-school. Hope he was this excited to go today.

He was told to find his name on his chair and M said he found it right off. M said that she has explained to him that we will have to do other things other than play with toys.

NEW BABY'S NURSERY

M and T started getting the nursery ready this weekend for the new baby.

C helped paint it.

I think M ended up having to clean paint up off the floor.

M painted the polka dots on the wall. I think it turned out really cute. I will post pictures when she gets it completely finished.

C and his dad went to the driving range. C has his own little club.

Next Tiger in the making.

C has also decided he wants to be a power ranger for Halloween.

C also started pre-school today. M said he went in without any problems, when a lot of the kids were crying that they didn't want to go. M was on the way to pick him up when she called, so I haven't heard how he liked his first day.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

We celebrated K and my birthday today at Outback with Hubby, T, J and their friends Patrick and Tammy. A really liked their bread.

After we finished eating, we went back to K and J's house and ate cake and ice cream, but mainly we all watched A play. A was not about to take a nap with everyone there, but she was sleepy.

A in her cute little outfit.

Before she figured out the bow was in her hair.

I don't think it will be too long before she is walking.

THE NEW BABY

We refer to this grand baby as the new baby. M and T are still not sure what her name will be, but I think they have narrowed it down to two. But, M went in today and had a 3-D ultrasound and she said she was in a ball almost the whole time. She even put her toes in her mouth. She said she had her hands in her mouth the rest of the time. I told M they may have a thumb sucker just like her momma. M said she couldn't tell if she looks like C but she definitely has his chin.

SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, our house has sold. We actually received an offer while we were in Kansas City about three weeks ago. I was waiting until our realtor put the sold sign on. I was going to take a picture and post it on my blog. But, it looks like she may never put the sold sign on.

So, we then had to get busy the next week and find a house in Oklahoma. We found one and we are suppose to close on this house on September 25Th and then we will be on our way to Oklahoma. Our house was on the market, two and a half months. Most people think that wasn't very long. But, it sure seemed like a long time to me. One week, I had six showings.

One day K went to put A down on the floor and I told her, do you realize that over one hundred people have walked through this house in a little over two months. That is a lot of people.

So, today, we needed to get out of the house, because the buyer was bringing contractors in to look at the house. It was also K's birthday, so we went out to eat. But, we were not celebrating her birthday. We will do that this weekend when M and T are here. T is meeting M in Stillwater for the OSU game this Saturday and then they will come home and we will celebrate K and my birthday on Sunday. My birthday is on the 5Th.

But, today, we went to Cozy Mel's to eat and then to Bed, Bath and Beyond to shop and then to the lake because it was so nice out today.
A is having trouble sitting up in the shopping cart.
