MY GRANDBABIES ALL GROWN UP

I went upstairs the other day.  I rarely go upstairs any more.  I have most of the walls upstairs in the hall covered with pictures of my grand kids when they were babies.  When I got to the top of the stairs, I just stood and  looked at their baby pictures for a long time and thought to myself, my grand babies aren't babies anymore.  Carter turned 9 in August and is in the 3rd grade.  Abby will turn 6 in January and is in kindergarten.  Karlie will turn 5 in November and just started  pre-school.
They were just darn cute babies though.  I might be a little partial.

This wall is mostly of pictures when they were babies.

This is another wall when they were older.  It was so hard to get a picture of this wall because there is just not enough room in the hall to back up far enough to take the picture.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Abby.

This is when Karlie didn't like the photographer and threw the blocks at her. Abby was only three and still remembers  Karlie throwing the blocks.

Carter still had  his cute little curls in these pictures.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND/BIRTHDAYS

Kim and I celebrated our birthdays over the Labor Day weekend at Lake Hamilton in Hot springs, Ar. We rented a condo overlooking the lake. Our birthdays are three days apart. I brought Kim home from the hospital on my birthday. Mam-ma and Pap-pa were staying with the kids and Mam-ma had made a birthday cake for me.

Abby ready to go take a swim in the condo pool.
Abby dressed in the Rapunzel dress-up outfit I bought her.  She loved looking in the mirror at herself.

Garvan Woodlands Garden-Tracy, Kim, Jamie and Abby went here on Saturday.  Hubby and I opted to go shopping instead.  I think there was a lot of walking involved.

They had a fairy village for kids.  Abby liked that.

Sunset on Lake Hamilton.  It rained a lot while we were there.
The Belle came by our condo several times a day.
We went to Fisherman's Wharf for Kim and my birthday dinner.

UNPLANNED VISIT FROM OUR KC GRANDKIDS

We enjoyed a visit from our Kansas City grand-kids this week.  It was not a planned visit.  Michelle's good friend, that she had known since kindergarten passed away and they came to attend the funeral. Even though it was a sad occasion, we enjoyed getting to visit with them.

They got to go to our neighborhood pool on Thursday.  They played water tag with Pap-pa.

There was hardly anyone at the pool which is unusual.

We went down to Brick-town on Friday and they all rode the boats on the canal. Carter and Karlie enjoyed it.  But it was so hot and muggy.

Does Karlie look hot?  There were lots of people riding the boats.

We went to eat at Toby Keith's after riding on the boats.  They have tailgates to sit on.

Karlie sure was thirsty.

Doesn't it look like hubby is on a diet?  Yes, he did eat it all.  No to-go box for him.
Karlie is tired.
