THANKSGIVING 2014

The crew from KC arrived Wednesday afternoon. We went to the Hide-A-Way that night to eat pizza, instead of cooking and messing up the kitchen. We would be cooking all the next day, so didn't really want to cook that night.

Karlie with her plate on Thanksgiving Day.  She ate most of it.  We had turkey, dressing, ham and all the trimmings.  Tracy made some of the dishes at her house and brought them over.  That sure helps.

We went shopping on Friday and that night, all but me went to the Sandridge Christmas tree lighting downtown OKC.

Carter and Karlie were fascinated with these ducks on the canal.  They had a fluff of hair on their head. They fed them popcorn.

They got there in time to see the tree lite this year.

The highlight for Carter and Karlie was getting to ride in a horse drawn carriage. Karlie especially thought this was pretty neat.

Taking pictures for my Christmas card.

FALL IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

The first tree is in our yard and the view is looking down our street. The first year since we moved in five years ago that the trees have had this much color.

KARLIE'S BIRTHDAY PARTY

Our youngest grand daughter, Karlie, turned five last Wednesday. So, Melvin, Tracy and I traveled to Kansas City over the weekend to help her celebrate. Tracy and Abby also came. It was good getting to see them. We hadn't seen them since Labor Day when we all met at the lake in AR. Karlie decided that she wanted to celebrate her birthday at Chuck E Cheese this year. She also decided many months ago that the theme would be butterflies and she did not change her mind.

Her butterfly cake. She told her mom when she ordered it that it had to have a face.
Miss Karlie.
Opening her gifts.
Her Elsa costume from Momo and Pap-pa.  Tracy bought her a wig to go with it.  She loved it, but so did Abby and that caused a few problems.  Guess I am going to have to get one for Abby for Christmas.

Abby looks a little bored in this picture.
Abby loved riding the bumper cars but Karlie would not ride them.

I took this picture of Karlie's Grandma Bettye on her dad's side.  She is over 90 years old and had never been to Chuck E Cheese.  I think she enjoyed it.

We dressed them and took them to a park to have pictures made for my Christmas card but the camera was on the wrong setting and they didn't turn out.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

My KC crew on the way to a chiefs game. It was Karlie's first time to attend a chiefs game and she made it through the entire game. I think she was actually ready to go before half time but a bucket of popcorn and cotton candy helped.
Carter at a chiefs game when he was younger. Not sure if this was his first time to attend a game.
