LABOR DAY WEEKEND/BIRTHDAY

Kim and Abby arrived late Friday, so we could help Kim celebrate her birthday. It was too hot on Saturday to really do anything. The temperature was 102. Abby and Pap-pa did walk up to our neighborhood playground but didn't stay long and Abby came back red-faced. Tracy, Kim, Abby and I did go out to eat at Kim's favorite local Mexican restaurant for lunch. Hubby didn't go. He was afraid he would miss the OSU-Mississippi State game.

We had a cold front come through on Sunday and the temperature was around 90. They all went up to our neighborhood pool to swim that morning. then we went down to Bricktown in OKC for the birthday dinner. We went to Jazmoz Bourbon Street Cafe on the canal and the food was really, really good. We walked around on the River Walk after we finished eating for a little while. Then we came back home and had cake and ice cream. It ended up being a pretty busy weekend but I think everyone enjoyed it.

I have mentioned before that we live out with the horses and cows.  See the cows in the background, proof we do.

Abby is a little dare-devil in the water.

At the restaurant eating the awesome crab dip.  It was really good.

Not sure what Abby was trying to do, but made us all uncomfortable.

Tracy always lights the candles.  She did it for so many years when she worked at Chuck-E-Cheese.

Abby helped her mommy blow out the candles.  Later she asked Kim if she missed the opening of gifts.
