CHRISTMAS IN ARKANSAS 2012

We spent Christmas this year with Kim and family in Arkansas and it was quite eventful. The seven day forecast for Oklahoma called for a blizzard starting on Christmas Day. So, we kept an eye on the weather and decided to go ahead and leave early Sunday morning. We made it just fine and it started raining at Kim's house Christmas Day afternoon and quickly turned to freezing rain. By night time it had turned to snow. On Wednesday morning we woke up to eight inches of snow. It was a beautiful snow. The tree limbs were all covered in snow. But, that is when the problems start with tree limbs breaking and causing power outages. The power went off one time at Kim's house Tuesday night but came back on quickly. We were the lucky ones. Over 70,000 homes in the Little Rock area were without power on Wednesday. Some were told it would be a week before power was restored. Oh and BTW Oklahoma City only received an inch of snow.
We did our Christmas Eve tradition by going out to eat pizza.

After the snow started accumulating on the grass Tuesday night, Abby had her daddy go out and get her some snow to eat. He brought it in and told her to never eat yellow snow. After a few minutes Abby told Tracy she was going to make a yellow snowman the next day. Tracy then explained to her why she didn't eat yellow snow and that she would not be making a yellow snowman.

The dogs had so much fun playing in the snow.
