BOB, MIMI, AND GWEN

Over the past couple of years Tracy has lost two of her cats. They were old and went into kidney failure and had to be put to sleep. So, she thought Bob was lonely and needed some company. She looked on the local animal shelter website and found a Russian Blue. Mimi caught her attention because one of the cats she lost was a Russian Blue. But, after reading more she found out that Mimi had a sister cat, Gwen and they were both missing part of their front paw. The only description was a declawing gone bad. Well Tracy was only intending to get one cat but she knew that probably no one would ever adopt either one because part of their paw was missing. Also, they had already been at the shelter over two months. So, she decided to just adopt both of them. Bob likes them, but they don't like Bob that much. They both have a little bit of an attitude. They have no trouble getting around at all and they climb on everything. That is why Tracy bought this cat toy(top picture) for them to climb on, but Mimi is the ony one that likes playing on it. You can also tell from the picture that part of Mimi's paw is missing. They don't have to worry about anything now, they are some really spoiled cats.

Her daddy putting her belt on her. She went from a yellow belt to an orange belt. They do testing for these belts, they don't just automatically give them out. Abby did really good during the testing and earned hers.

RANDOM STUFF

I have started doing Pinterest and have found lots of good chicken recipes. Tracy came over to eat with us tonight and I made this one called Ranch Chicken. It was really good.

I thought this was a cute picture of Abby. They all had been out to eat and when they were leaving, Abby went and sat in the chair and said cheese. Kim said she held that pose until someone took her picture.

On another note, it has been so hot here and still is hot. But, if it only gets to 100, we think we are having a cool spell. Our hottest day was a week ago last Wednesday and it got up to 112. That was also the day that our air conditoner went out. We called at 7:30 the next morning and they said they were slammed but would try to make it out sometime that day. Within two hours a guy called and said he was on his way to our house. I told him I didn't know how we got move up on his list but I sure was thankful we did. Our capacitor had blown. He said he was replacing them every day because of the heat. In a couple of weeks, we are going to the mountains for a few days, sure hope it is cooler up there.

ABBY MODELS

Abby modeled over the weekend and loved it. I thought that was something that Abby would love doing. Also, Kim had an appointment with her ob/gyn last week and he always wants to see pictures of Abby and talks about how scary that day was. I told Kim it was probably a good thing we didn't know how scary it actually was at the time. But, we sat in that waiting room (forever) that day waiting to hear something and it really seems just like it was yesterday. It sure doesn't seem possible that Abby is old enough to be modeling in a fashion show. Time does fly. Abby picked out her own outfit and got to keep it.

CARTER TURNS SEVEN

Carter celebrated his 7th birthday over the weekend. If you can't tell, it had a Star Wars theme. He is really into Star Wars. The pictures are of the birthday that he celebrated with his Dad's side of the family. He also had another party at an arcade place with his friends.
