DUCKS

When Tracy, Abby and I were leaving to go to lunch today, the ducks were in our neighbors yard. We had just had a big rain and I think they after the worms in the yard. I cannot believe how much the baby ducks have grown in just 2 weeks.

KC KIDS/GRANDKIDS VISIT

It was so hot while they were here.  It was 105  when they arrived on Friday,  officially tying the daily record high set in 1943. The heat index was already 117 at 1:30 yesterday. They were going to go a water park or pool nearby but it started to rain about the time they were ready to leave. So, they went bowling instead.

An attempted photo shoot on the pond behind our house on the golf course.  This was in between the rain. Golfers appeared so they  had to run.

Pap-pa and Carter walked up to the golf course one night. They were going to play golf while they were visiting but it was just too hot.
Karlie decided she wanted to play on the slip and slide before they left to go home today. She and Carter had fun but put a hole in it so may be going to Wal-mart to buy a new one.

FAMILY OF DUCKS

When we were leaving to go to dinner last night, we saw a family of ducks coming from the pond behind our house. These ducks were raised in the garage by our neighbors three houses down. Not sure if that is allowed in our neighborhood but they did it anyhow and our neighbor next door was telling us that they are mean and beat up the wild ducks. They sure were cute though all of them waddling along and the bigger ones were scolding their babies.

GOLF CART GARAGES

When we moved in our house a little over over a month ago, we would be driving through the neighborhood and notice houses with odd little garages on the side of their house.  We couldn't understand what they were for.

The other day I saw a listing for a house for sale on our street and it listed it had a golf cart garage.  Well mystery solved.  We do live in a golf course neighborhood after all.

This house is  on our street about three houses up from us.
