A BUSY WEEK

We are back. We left Sunday to go to Arkansas. We spent most of the week shopping and eating out.

On Monday, K and A both went to the daycare. But, on Tuesday, A had a fever, so I ended up just keeping her while mommy went to work. I was worried about not being able to keep up with her, but she was really good. She even had a poopy diaper and I told her that Momo was not use to changing diapers that she would have to help me and she came and just lay day in front of me so I could change her diaper. She would go to her play room and if she was really quiet I would ask her what she was doing and her answer always was "I dun know." I would go check and most of the time she was sitting in her doll's pack and play. I was never able to get a picture of her though. By the time I would go get my camera, she would already be out.

She also still had a fever the next day, so I ended up just keeping her at home Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. K was sure it was an ear infection, so she took her to the doctor and he said that it was a virus.

One night, we went to Toys r Us and A noticed a little girl riding in a school bus. K put her in Dumbo, but A did not want to ride in it. She wanted to ride in the school bus. The mom of the little girl was nice and told K that it was ok for A to ride with her little girl. Her little girl's name was Ava and was also 18 months old. A really wanted to ride in the driver's seat but was patient until the little girl left.

A eating at Apple Bee's. She would ask the people at the next table, "what doing" and they would not even say hi to her.


K's favorite place to eat is Red Lobster, so we promised her we would go there our last night. A was not interested in eating, but she sure looked cute with her little bow in her hair.

We got up and came home today. We sure enjoyed our visit even though it was hot and muggy in Arkansas. There was a heat alert out most days that we were there.

GOING ON A LITTLE TRIP

Hubby is going on a business trip to Little Rock, Arkansas next week and I am going to tag along. He will be working in the office back there and I will be spending time with K and A. T is coming down from KC to house sit for us and she also has some interviews lined up. I think it is just as hot or maybe hotter in Little Rock.

IT'S HOT

The temperature here is 95 degrees, but feels like 100 degrees.

I did drive around a little today. I went by this house and stopped and took a picture. I think if you lived in this house, it would just make you feel cooler to look out and see the little pond with a fountain. The water seems really blue, which is unusual here since we have the red dirt.

We do have a chance for thunderstorms this weekend. We will see. I talked to M yesterday and she said the cattle are dying from the heat in Kansas. We all definitely need a break from the heat.

MASTER BATHROOM

I said several months ago that I was going to take one room at a time and get it completely put together before I start on another one. Well, I have our master bathroom completely done.

Here are some pictures of it. It was totally impossible to get a picture of the entire bathroom in one shot.

MISS KARLIE

M was given the name of a photographer in the KC area that takes pictures of babies and puts their picture on greeting cards and on calendars. So, she e-mailed this lady three pictures of Karlie. She then received an e-mail to bring Karlie in and have her pictures taken.

There is no guarantee that her picture will be chosen to be on a greeting card or a calendar. But, at least she was called in to have her pictures taken and that is better than nothing. I think they turned out really cute, but M said that day there was no way that Karlie was going to smile.

I think this is my favorite one. I love the way she has her lip.

BRANSON BELLE

I don't put many pictures on of me, but I found a storage tub of pictures and I have been going through them. I thought this was a pretty good picture, maybe because I am mostly hidden. This was at one of hubby's agency conventions in Branson, Mo. One of their dinners was on the Branson Belle. We had dinner on the boat and also got to see a show, that I remember being really good. The boat was moving the entire time but you could not feel it.

C'S PRE-KINDERGARTEN CEREMONY

I wanted to post some pictures of C's pre-kindergarten ceremony even though it was over a month ago.
