CARTER PLAYING BASEBALL

Carter is playing baseball this summer.  I think his parents get a little frustrated with him.  He is only seven.  Both his Mom and Dad played ball in college.  His Mom played softball and his Dad played baseball.

Carter likes to catch.  Michelle said he learned quickly to put his hand behind his back to keep it from getting hit.

RUMBLE

I am going to embarrass Tracy by posting this. She went to a paint party and painted this. I think she did a really good job. BTW it is the Thunder mascot Rumble.

OUR UNEXPECTED TRIP

We made an unexpected trip to Mississippi this week.  My brother passed away on Sunday.  He had been diagnosed with cancer two years ago.  He did chemo up until the last week.  I lost my other brother back in 1994 in a car accident.

We all met in North Little Rock on Wednesday night.  Tracy stayed with Kim.   Hubby and I and Michelle and family got hotel rooms.  We then traveled the three hours to Batesville, Ms. Thursday morning.

Carter and Karlie went to the funeral but Abby went to daycare.  Kim didn't think Abby would be quiet during the service.

The cousins all had plans to go swimming in the hotel pool after we returned Thursday night.  Just as we got into North Little Rock the tornado sirens started going off.  So, hubby and I ended up going back to our hotel and Michelle and family and Kim, Abby and Tracy went to Michelle and their hotel  so all the kids could swim.  The cousins enjoyed being together, even though it was just for a short time.

Carter, Abby and Karlie in the hotel room.
We got up Friday morning and met Michelle and family at the Old Mill before we headed back to Oklahoma.  The kids enjoyed going to the Old Mill but I didn't get any pictures of them with Abby since Kim had to work and Abby had to go to the daycare.

Carter and Karlie are looking at the turtles.  Looks like Karlie is ready to jump in.
They also saw a snake.

We made it back to our house about six last night.  The tornado was on I-40 in El Reno.  We travel I-40 all the way to Mississippi and back.  We  would have been in trouble if we had  been two hours later in getting home.
