KC GRANDKIDS EASTER

Carter and Karlie spent this Easter in NW Missouri with their other grandparents.  Carter has always been really good at finding eggs and it looks like from the looks of Karlie's basket, that she has caught on also.  Most Easters it is cold in NW Missouri but I think this Easter it was in the seventies, which made it nice to be outside.

OUR EASTER-2014/ARKANSAS

We spent Easter this year in Arkansas, visiting our daughter Kim and her family.  We arrived on Thursday night, since we were going to have to leave to go back to Oklahoma on Sunday.  Hubby and Tracy had to be back at work on Monday.  We didn't get in until late Thursday night.  But Abby was waiting for us.

The weather couldn't have been more perfect for our visit.   So, we got up Friday morning and dressed Abby and took her to the Old Mill in North Little Rock to take pictures.
After taking pictures and spending a little time at The Old Mill, we all went to TGI Fridays to eat lunch.

On Saturday, we had our Easter dinner.  Kim wanted to go to Red Lobster, so we did.  We then went to Conway to do a little shopping.  Abby bought some things for our trip to the beach at
the end of June.  I think all the grand kids are excited about going to the beach.  It will be the first time for all of them.

The Old Mill.  It is beautiful this time of year.

KC GRANDKIDS VISIT/CIRCUS

Michelle and family arrived on Friday night.  She and hubby were going to a 40th birthday party for a friend that they went to collage with, on Saturday night.   Hubby, Tracy, Michelle, Carter and Karlie all went to a circus on Saturday.  The first time for Carter and Karlie to ever go to a circus.  They really enjoyed it.  We were kind of afraid that Karlie would be afraid of the animals.

At the Circus.  They could have ridden an elephant at intermission but they chose not to.
Not sure what this face is about.
Riding the train at intermission.

It was really nice on both Saturday and Sunday, so they were able to play outside.  But, it was a really windy on Sunday.

Resting from playing and drinking her chocolate milk.  She loves chocolate milk.

This is still Karlie's favorite toy to play with at Momo and Pappa's house.  Abby loves playing with the dolls.

SAN ANTONIO RIVERWALK

Tracy and I on the spur of the moment decided to take a little trip. We drove to San Antonio, Tx. We had both been to San Antonio several times before, but we love San Antonio and the Riverwalk. We booked a hotel on the Riverwalk. It is about an eight hour drive from here to San Antonio. We stopped several times, so it took us a little more than eight hours. We arrived at our hotel on Sunday night.  The bellboy who took our luggage up to our room was surprised that we had driven straight through for eight hours.  He asked us where we were from and when we told him Oklahoma, he proceeded to tell us that he had been to Guthrie, Oklahoma and that it was a really boring place.  I can imagine after living in San Antonio that Guthrie, Ok. would be kind of boring.

When we got up on Monday, it was raining.  It rained off and on all day Monday.  So, we decided to just go shopping and to go eat at a popular Mexican restaurant.  We had eaten at this restaurant before and knew it was really good.  It didn't disappoint this time either.  The restaurant was not on the Riverwalk but close by.

On Tuesday, we ate lunch at a fancy restaurant in the hotel.  We went at lunch because they actually had a buffet.  It was good but still not sure of what all I ate.  I had Tracy ask the waitress what the meats on the buffet were and she even told us we could go look.  I ate mussels for the first time in my life.  They were OK but not something that I would ever order in a restaurant.  It was pretty expensive for a buffet but the cake made it worth it.  It was a cross between a brownie and cheese cake and had chocolate chunks in it.

Mi Tierra-The Mexican restaurant where we went to eat.  It is a very colorful restaurant.  I think the grand kids would love it.  Maybe they can go some day.

I like this picture of Tracy.  You can see the steam coming off of our fajitas.  We both ordered fajitas.

We got up Wednesday morning and started back to Oklahoma.  It was raining really hard when we left.  I guess this is the rainy season in San Antonio.
